Collegiate School is a co-ed Junior Kindergarten - 12th Grade college prep school located in Richmond, Virginia. With a student body of approximately 1,670 students, the School's mission is to inspire excellence in learning and life. Collegiate was founded in 1915, by a Richmond resident named Helen Baker, who directed her progressive commitment to learning and serving others into founding a school that would nurture academic excellence, character and responsible citizenship in students - tenets the School adheres to still today. While the School has grown in size and scope, what remains authentic to Collegiate is the mission to each know each student well and to help each student know himself or herself well, in order to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the world at large.
