ISI has provided design solutions for new construction, renovation and retrofit projects since 1982. ISI is the current evolution of professional practice for Gary Black, Professor emeritus of Architecture at U.C. Berkeley. Over the past thirty nine years, (Black) and associates have pioneered a design process for design-build delivery that offers a viable alternative to the traditional and rigidly defined roles of architects, engineers and contractors. In this process the architecture and engineering designs are brought into balance with construction budgets early in a project. The designs integrate the structure with the space and the system of construction to provide authentic and unique buildings.

Our qualified engineers will survey your building envelope in order to determine defects and sources of water entry. Engineers estimates can be used to budget for repair or replacement of building envelope systems. Construction specifications can be developed for competitive bidding. Specifications can include engineering drawings of the building roof plan or elevations as well as construction details. Skyline Engineering can provide consulting services throughout all phases of the project including the pre-bid, pre-construction, and any other project meetings. Quality assurance inspections can be provided to ensure that the contractor is properly installing the roofing or waterproofing system.
