Founded in 1980 to serve the thriving marine sector, Structural Marine Engineering (SME) swiftly expanded its scope to encompass heavy plate-work fabrication for both the mining and offshore industries. Over the past decade a substantial portion of SME’s production experience has been dedicated to the mining and offshore oil industries, as evidenced by its successful collaborations with esteemed clients such as Rio Tinto, BHP, FMG, Goodline, TAMS, AVID, among others. In April 2024 TOLVR purchased the business of Structural Marine (Plant & Equipment and Goodwill) and entered a lease agreement with the former owners to occupy the land and buildings. Located strategically along a major high wide road transport route, we are just a short distance from the Australian Marine Complex facility. This strategic positioning allows us to efficiently accommodate geared vessels and heavy lift ships for the transport and delivery of large mining products, components and modules, further enhancing our capacity to serve a diverse range of industries.
