Our vision is a sustainable built environment. Our mission is to foster a climate neutral design of the built environment through better education, high level scientific research and innovation. We educate students to be independent, committed and persistent to our vision. Our research is material neutral. We design new structures made out of concrete, steel or timber. We monitor, inspect, test and assess all types of structures including concrete dams and bridges. We use a wide array of reserach methods and tools such as, analytical models, non linear finite element modeling, destructive and non destructive evaluation tests, remote monitoring, model tests and full scale tests. We work with all types of loads including fire safety design. We suggest methods for rehabilitation of existing structures.
