Structum d.o.o. is a privately-owned research and development company, which operates in the field of building materials and civil engineering in Slovenia and abroad. The company's main goal is to transfer theoretical knowledge into practical applications for building and road constructions projects. A lot of practical experience from conventional building materials and construction techniques, together with the research and testing of new materials – in particular industrial waste and recycled materials, allows the company to implement many activities on building-sites. The company is specialised in the preparation of new innovative formulas for asphalt mixtures, concrete mixtures, and soil stabilizing products, by considering how to use recycled material from industrial waste and to achieve better performance and higher quality products. The company is involved in the development of techniques and materials by means of which it is possible to achieve optimisation and the cost efficiency of pavement structures. One of the important issues with which the company is concerned, taking into account its environmental policy, is the replacement of natural materials such as stone and sand, with recycled industrial waste, so as to save natural resources.
