Strive & Thrive is a social platform of online resources and monthly community workshops to help create awareness and offer various support tools and techniques from practitioners and industry experts to build and maintain mental health. Our Mission is to create awareness around the importance of being healthy mentally, as well as physically, and to inspire, guide and connect others who aim to Strive and Thrive for a better life. Our Vision is to inspire and empower others to Strive and Thrive for a positive life, and to remind each other to be mindful of those around us. Mental health is not a tangible illness, so awareness is key to providing support. Finding a healthy balance between work, family, and leisure can often cause us to feel truly overwhelmed. Working collaboratively with health practitioners and industry experts, Strive & Thrive focuses on achieving the following core objectives: - Gain a better understanding of stress, anxiety and depression - Discover how stress and anxiety effect you and how it can be managed - Visualize a more positive future with a positive mindset - Live joyously in a supportive, kinder and caring society Founder: Norita Che Omar After more than 15 years of working in International VIP Operations for big brands like Disney, Hilton, NZ Casino and Crown Resorts, Norita left her flamboyant career and started her own event business, Ecstatique Events. She now strives to bring the community together via her vibrant social, corporate and community events. Having overcome her own depression and anxiety conditions after a brain injury and earthquake trauma, Norita understands the difficulties for those with such conditions. Recently losing a friend to suicide, Norita is determined to raise the awareness of the importance of mental health, inspire and empower others to strive for a positive life and cultivate a supportive, kinder and more caring society.
