Streb Meats Information

Streb Meats, a wholesale meat processing company, was founded in 1936 by Victor Streb on a farm in Dalton, Ohio. The business began by servicing grocery stores and meat shops in Coshocton, Tuscarawas, Stark and Wayne counties. Craig Streb is the third generation owner of Streb Meats, taking over the business in 1980 and continuing today. In 1986 a new meat processing plant was built in the village of Dalton, where it exists today. Until 2004, Streb Meats was a state inspected meat processing plant. At that time a decision was made to change to the USDA Federal Meat inspection program. This change has allowed Streb Meats to expand its marketing area both within and out of state. We work closely with several distributing firms to accomplish this. We market a superior product with unique and sought after taste. We have developed a loyal following of customers. Our smoked products are processed in a wood-fired smokehouse with our own custom blend of hickory and hardwoods.
