The Strathbogie Shire is a vibrant and diverse community of approximately 10,000 people nestled in the townships of Euroa, Nagambie, Violet Town, Avenel, Longwood, Strathbogie, Ruffy and Graytown. Located perfectly in the heart of country Victoria, the Strathbogie Shire is only a short drive from the Melbourne CBD on both the Hume Freeway and Goulburn Valley Highway. We are blessed with both the rivers and ranges at our doorstep and our charming villages offer both a breathtaking landscape and world famous local produce. We are a Council that supports investment for population growth, shared wealth and wellbeing. With one of the largest road networks of any shire in regional Victoria, our boundaries take in over 330,000 hectares of land.
