The equipment utility requirements are then determined so that the architectural spaces and mechanical / electrical services can then be properly sized and oriented to provide the most functional layouts and configurations. This “inside / out” design philosophy allows us to get it right the first time and saves the project many dollars by avoiding costly changes during construction. SHR sees the medical equipment planner as an integral member of the design team.
