Cray, a Carrboro native with over 30 years experience, is a skilled general contractor as well as a talented designer. This combination makes Custom Carpentry Group uniquely qualified to blend the beautiful and practical, creating original spaces that fit our clients' individual needs. Kathy, a Durham native, oversees operation at CCG. She wears many hats in her role. Her main focus is on building and maintaining customer relationships. She can often be found on the job site, making sure the clients are happy and that things are running smoothly from their perspective. In the office, she handles all of the scheduling, invoicing, bill payments and bookkeeping. In addition, Kathy is a talented designer and enjoys working with clients on design features such as lighting and plumbing fixtures, flooring, tile, countertops and paint colors. Kathy can organize new or existing space to make life less stressful and more enjoyable for her clients.

From their beginnings as a high-quality carpentry and joinery company, founders Barry and Shane grew their business through their extensive experience as site and project managers. They have over 50 years of combined experience as fully qualified tradesmen and have taken on projects ranging from home extensions, bespoke joinery and refurbished interiors to new-built homes and flats and large construction projects. PCS was founded on traditional building techniques and we offer design consultation, project management and building and construction to see a project from conception to completion. Working with private developers, companies and investors, as well as private home owners, we provide tailored solutions to our client's building and design needs. PCS can also offer advice for, or arrange with architects, engineers and planning committees to maintain a seamless, clear building process.
