Stories2Wear is a brand of quirky illustrated jewellery in 925 sterling silver and enamelled bronze, engraved and hand finished in sunny Greece. Designed by illustrator Ioanna Galanomati, each of her pieces is handcrafted with love and evokes a feeling or a story that young modern women can relate to. PHILOSOPHY: Established in 2012, we create little precious drawings for young women who love art, travel, culture and want to treat themselves to affordable but high-quality jewellery that reflect their personality. With RRP starting at £20 our meaningful, contemporary designs are beautifully packaged and accompanied with message cards that make the perfect personalised gift. THE DESIGNER Ioanna Galanomati designs her illustrated jewellery inspired by art, nature and travelling. Her focus on colour, shape and surface decoration derives from her studies in Illustration (Bachelor of Arts) in Bournemouth, courses in Fashion from Central Saint Martins, U.K. and a Masters Degree in Painting from the Rome University of Fine Arts in Italy. She has lived in U.K., Italy and Portugal and Greece where she’s currently designing and producing all of the Stories2Wear products. THE PROCESS Stories2Wear takes pride in collaborating with local Greek manufacturers who share a long tradition in silversmithing and jewellery-making but also embracing new technologies like 3D printing and laser cutting to create exciting and modern results. Ioanna’s book illustration background is always evident in her work as everything starts from a pencil drawing, before it’s digitised and turned into a piece of contemporary jewellery , whilst striving to always maintain the hand drawn feeling that makes the piece more alive and special. WHERE TO FIND US Stories2Wear is already stocked in museums and shops all around our homeland Greece, and have collaborated with the Nautical Museum of London and Lisbon amongst others.
