A continuation of a family insurance tradition which dates back to 1916, our domestic (Sterling Resources Insurance Agency, Inc.) and international (Sterling Resources International of Bermuda Limited) practices focus on wealth transfer and accumulation strategies for ultra-high net worth families. Sterling specializes in the creative use of life insurance products within the estate planning environment to provide liquidity and to reduce gift, estate, and generation skipping taxes. Our engagements include business continuity planning for closely-held businesses, analysis of existing individual life insurance portfolios, assessment of Private Placement solutions, and the design, implementation, and administration of split dollar insurance plans. Much of our work involves developing innovative solutions to challenging planning issues such as the evaluation and rescue of mature split dollar arrangements and working with foreign non-grantor trusts with Undistributed Net Income exposure.
