Sterling Minerals was founded by Katherine Corkill when she became inspired to create products that would assist men and women in restoring the radiant healthy skin of their youth. It is her philosophy as an advocate of all things natural and organic when possible, to keep all skin looking young and healthy through protection from the suns' harmful UV Rays, along with free radicals and environmental pollutants we are exposed to daily. Due diligence in knowing what goes into and on our bodies, and how it effects us long term has been a lifestyle for her and her family for more than 25 years. Holistic and wholesome nutrition combined with natural and organic ingredients in skin care products are key to keeping us healthy and beautiful inside and out. Katherine and her husband both suffered from sun damage, and as they entered into their 40's their skin treatments began in order to try to correct and erase what years of sunbathing had done to them both. Most skin care products and makeup contain synthetic chemicals which created more discomfort and prolonged healing time. It was during this time Katherine began her quest to create products which would soothe and calm problematic skin without further irritation. Following consultations with her Dermatologist, Professionals in the Cosmetic Industry, current Clients, and armed with her years of research on Holistic Care, she formulated her own unique mineral makeup line, Sterling Minerals Cosmetics. After two years of trial and error and product testing, a superior proprietary blend of mineral makeup was the result from utilizing the finest pharmaceutical grade mineral powders combined with skin soothing botanicals...many of which are still used today in the Ancient Art of Ayurveda.
