STEPS, a non-profit organization, is striving to create equal opportunity in the pursuit of study abroad for Indian students. Through personalized mentorship, workshops, and coaching all free of cost we empower Indian Muslim (Women) students to get admission to the top US & European universities. STEPS program focus: 1 Indian Muslim Women: Pioneering support for Indian Muslim women, encouraging their representation in global education platforms. STEPS is co-founded by the brother-sister duo of Abdul Aleem and Rafia Khatoon. They both are first-generation graduates who strongly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to get a great education, no matter where they come from. Abdul is a Stanford grad who had offers of admission with scholarships from Harvard, UC Berkeley, and Columbia among other great universities. Rafia is starting her graduate studies at the University of Chicago as a quadrangle research scholar and has received admissions from other great schools like Oxford, LSE, and UCL. They're on a mission – to help Indian students, especially those who belong to the IMW community, follow their dreams and study at the best universities worldwide through STEPS.
