STEMLearn LLC Information

STEMLearn was created to address significant gaps within the higher education space, namely the lack of enthusiasm, emphasis on full comprehension, opportunity to catch up/make up necessary foundations, and chances for application of the material learned in the classroom. To fix these problems, we create a set of higher quality, clearer, more engaging lessons, focused around 3 key principles: 1) Good Education is built on stable foundations, so complexity should build on itself 2) Students learn best when they're firsthand participants in their own educational experience 3) Good Education is an immediate feedback loop Any lesson that makes it to our website is quality checked and peer reviewed, and we post only lessons which we think would contribute more to student performance than a traditional lecture found in the classroom or content found on a website. Consequently, we're often willing to sacrifice quantity of lessons for the sake of complete accuracy and intellectual engagement. Our lessons are multi-modal, and all have a set of worked exercises leading students directly to mastery. STEMLearn is also open source, meaning anyone can submit a lesson for approval. The lessons are not posted until they are checked for accuracy and quality, but our review board will gladly work with contributors to ensure the lessons meet accuracy standards and guidelines.
