STEM Training Information

‘STEM Training’ [Standards Training in Electronics’ Manufacture] is based in Bristol, UK. We provide ‘on-site’ IPC standards training & certification, soldering skills training & static awareness/prevention training programs. Since the cancellation of MIL-STD- 2000 in 1997, many electronics manufacturing companies have turned to the following internationally recognised standards, for consumer, commercial or military applications, for which we can provide both training & certification; IPC-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies. IPC/WHMA-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies. IPC-J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies. IPC-7711/21, Rework, Repair & Modification of Electronic Assemblies. We also provide training in; Hand soldering skills from 'Beginner' to 'Advanced' level, for Through Hole & SMT components, which can include both ‘Leaded’ & 'Lead Free' solder alloys. Hand rework skills, with the use of solder vacuum systems, profiled tips, hot tweezers & hot air systems. Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) awareness, prevention & consultancy. Bespoke Training This can involve tailoring existing programs or devising an entirely new solution. We also have the flexibility to refine a scheduled course to make an exact fit for your company & team.
