Steamcream is a J-beauty skincare brand from Japan, built on one belief: how it’s made matters. Since launching in Japan in 2007, we have made our moisturisers by hand, using the Pure Steam Process. This process demands attention, precision and consistency. Working side by side with our team in Japan, we refined it into something repeatable, not by simplifying it, but by understanding it deeply. Where others blend, we steam. Instead of high-speed mechanical mixing, our ingredients are gently stirred at low speed and combined with bursts of pure, high-temperature steam. This preserves the integrity of our natural ingredients and creates larger, nutrient-rich droplets that release a concentrated wave of moisture on contact with the skin. The result is a cream that is exceptionally light, airy and instantly absorbed. Mixed by hand. Batch by batch. Steamed and stirred. Every batch is made in-house, guided by a shokunin approach to craftsmanship: attention over automation, care over convenience, quality over scale. Handmade in Japan by only 3 experts, every tin carries the same care that has defined Steamcream for nearly two decades, with more than 13 million tins sold. For eight years we made just one product. Today our streamlined Cleanse, Tone, Moisturise range is built on the same foundation: 98%+ naturally derived, fewer but better ingredients, vegan and cruelty-free, in reusable aluminium tins and Colorful Wish® packaging made from recycled origami peace cranes.
