Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Foundation Inc Information

For the past thirteen years, The Foundation, SSWSC has consistently focused on providing long-term financial support for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. Collectively we have raised over $2.7 million. This past year, The Foundation presented a check to SSWSC for $136,171, bringing our total giving to the SSWSC to nearly $1.3 million. With Steamboat Springs being Ski Town USA, the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club truly is the heart of the community. In its 100th year of operation, the Winter Sports Club continues to provide Steamboat's youth with amazing opportunities to participate in winter sports, cycling, and year-round athletic training. Over 1,000 kids participate in the Clubs programs each year, making it the largest after-school program in Northwest Colorado. With a tradition of excellence, Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club has produced over 75 Olympians and many NCAA Champions. In 2013, we had 9 World Championship Medalist in 5 different disciplines, and this year we will be sending close to 20 athletes to the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. The Foundation's ongoing financial support to the Winter Sports Club is an integral part of the clubs ability to continue the legacy of encouraging children to be champions both on and off the hill. As we continue our efforts to raise money for The Foundation, SSWSC and our endowment, we will also be directing much of our effort towards our Planned Giving Programs.
