STARK Architecture + Interiors designs distinctive, high-performance homes for some of the most demanding sites in British Columbia’s Sea to Sky corridor. From steep rock outcrops in Whistler to forested lots in Pemberton and coastal slopes along Howe Sound, we specialize in sites others consider too complex to build on. We treat constraints such as topography, access, exposure and wildfire risk as the starting point for design. Our practice is led by Certified Passive House Designers. Every project is grounded in building science: airtight, highly insulated envelopes, careful solar orientation and low-carbon material choices. The result is homes that are exceptionally comfortable, energy efficient and built for the mountain climate. We integrate FireSmart principles from the earliest design stages. Architecture and interiors are designed together under one roof, so every space feels considered. We work closely with clients, builders and consultants to deliver homes that are bold in concept and precise in execution.
