Stanford Talisman is an a capella group dedicated to sharing personal and cultural stories from around the world. Founded in 1990, during the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, a large portion of their repertoire derives from the struggle songs of this movement. However, their repertoire has since expanded to include East Asian music, African American spirituals, Native American hymns, Native Hawaiian songs, and even pieces from The Netherlands and Bulgaria.
