St Mary’s Church of England Primary is a three-form entry, multi-culturally diverse school, situated minutes from historic Southampton’s city centre! In 2022, we welcome a new headteacher and begin our journey towards becoming an outstanding educational establishment in Southampton. We invest in our teachers - recognising that well-being should be at the heart of everything we do. In this regard, staff have access to expertly-planned curricula and pre-designed lesson visuals - these are tailored carefully to classes and need. We limit the burden of unwieldy lesson planning and focus on what’s important - sequence and trajectory of learning. And part of our ‘staff charter’ enables teachers to book a day during the academic year in our bid to ‘give back’ to you. Our pupils deserve the best experience we can offer. Our curriculum is ambitious and exciting - culminating in termly celebrations where (regardless of ability) we showcase the knowledge and skills pupils have acquired. Given our demographic, cultural enrichment of the curriculum is paramount. We strive to ensure that our offer enables pupils to experience first-hand all the city and country has to offer. Our school may be one of the oldest in Southampton, but we are constantly changing and evolving - come and see what we are doing!
