St John's C Information

On behalf of all staff and governors I would like to welcome you to St. Johns C of E Primary Academy. We are a one form entry primary school situated within the town of Wednesbury. At St. Johns we aim to give every child the best start possible to their education. The Early Years are crucial to a childs development and our Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 enable the children to get their school careers off to a flying start. Throughout the school we want our children to enjoy a wide range of experiences which bring the curriculum to life and make learning fun. All our staff work hard to ensure the best possible quality of education for the children in every year group. Our website aims to give you a taster of what a day in the life of a St. Johns child experiences, along with a range of useful information. You will also find copies of our monthly newsletters, school letters and phase news, which let parents know what their child is learning about in school, along with suggestions for supporting them at home. I hope you find it useful, please do not hesitate to contact the school if you require further information. School gates on Addison Terrace and Lower High Street open at 08:40 for parents and children. SLT members will arrive on the playground from 08:45. Teachers and/or LSPs will arrive at 08:50 to take classes inside. Gates close at 08:55. After this parents and children must ring the buzzer to the main entrance, and enter through the car park gate. School gates on Addison Terrace and Lower High Street open at 15:20. Children exit via classrooms at 15:30 onto the playground. Any collections after this time, are through the main entrance via the car park.
