Repton School
Repton School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school for children aged 3 to 18 in the heart of England. From Nursery to Sixth Form, Repton encourages a conscious equilibrium in all things, encouraging pupils to adopt a healthy balance between their studies, sport, activities of all kinds and rest, so that they can emerge as rounded, multi-faceted individuals. The sense of balance that every Reptonian – from the age of 3 to 18 - benefits from is shaped by our five pillars: Pastoral Care; Academia; Sport; Extra Curricular and our Spirit of Place. Our pupils achieve in the classroom because they never have to prioritise academic achievement over their love of theatre, their aptitude for sport or their passion for music. Who we are, what we do, and what we believe in could not be more pertinent for young people facing the modern world. With 1000 years of education history behind us, the traditional values of encouraging pupils to aim high whilst showing respect for all are still of utmost importance, however, Repton is undoubtedly modern in terms of practice and outlook.

Uppingham School
Uppingham School, founded in 1584, is one of Britain’s leading co-educational independent boarding schools. Today, the value of an all-round education, in which each individual and their talents come first, is fundamental to the Uppingham experience. We are a full boarding school and believe the complete immersion in education gives our pupils the richest and most profound experience of school. At Uppingham we draw on our vibrant heritage to provide a stimulating, dynamic and modern education for our pupils who total more than 800 and are accommodated in 15 boarding houses and one day house. The pupil are taught by two dozen academic departments, and the academic education delivered is thought-provoking, intense, and challenging. Pupils are encouraged to not only participate in a host of extra-curricular activities such as sports, music, drama, and expeditions but to actively pursue interests above and beyond the curriculum. On the practical side the School operates seven days a week during term time (approx. 32 weeks) and in the summer months operates a commercial summer school. It has approximately 600 full-time and part-time employees, among whom the teachers report to the Headmaster and the support staff to the Bursar. The School is a registered charity and governed by 24 voluntary Trustees, who are responsible for guiding the Headmaster and Bursar in matters of governance and strategy, and ultimately for the health and safety of pupils, employees, and visitors. The School’s estate includes 120 acres of non-contiguous grounds and 75 buildings, mostly large, many old, and 23 with listed status.
