Saint Bernard Abbey and Preparatory School, established in 1891, in Cullman, AL, has always been in the business of education . . . from a College, Seminary, Junior College, and a grade school in the early years, to a College-Prep middle and high school for the last 28 years. We are most famous for our beloved Ave Maria Grotto (one of Alabama's Top Ten tourist sites), but also have a Retreat Center, and of course, the school. The School caters to both local and boarding co-ed students, including a small percentage of international students. Our claim to fame is our fantastic curriculum which has enabled us to have 100% graduation rate, ACT scores that consistently surpass the national and state averages, and about $3-5 million in scholarship offers to prestigious universities to our senior classes (usually around 25 students) every year. We have small classes (a 8:1 student/teacher ratio) and offer a surprisingly vast number of extracurricular activities and sports for a campus of under 200 students!
