The Saudi Real Estate Refinance Company (SRC) was established by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in 2017 to support the development of Saudi Arabia’s mortgage finance market. Licensed by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), SRC plays a pivotal role in facilitating mortgage refinancing and advancing the objectives of the Housing Program under Vision 2030, particularly in increasing homeownership among Saudi citizens. SRC provides liquidity to banks and mortgage finance companies, enabling them to offer more accessible and affordable housing finance solutions. Operating as a secondary mortgage market institution, SRC acquires residential mortgage portfolios, offers tailored refinancing solutions, and issues asset-backed securities, including sukuk and mortgage-backed securities (MBS).
