Spun out of the University of Oxford in 2017, SpyBiotech is a clinically validated vaccine company built on proprietary protein "superglue" technology. It snaps antigens onto a vaccine scaffold in a single step, giving us a faster, more reliable way to build robust vaccines. We apply this across two complementary platforms. Our virus-like particle (VLP) platform is Phase I-validated, and our viral vector platform extends the same plug-and-play approach to more targets. Together they form a flexible engine for vaccines against established and emerging diseases. Two lead programmes drive our pipeline, both against major viral threats.. Our CMV candidate is Phase II ready, having reached Phase I proof of concept, and targets a leading infectious cause of birth defects. Our EBV candidate is Phase I ready, targeting a near-universal virus linked to certain cancers and multiple sclerosis.
