ESEP (originally called East of Scotland European Partnership) is a UK-based specialist manager of EU regional development programmes. We were set up as a partnership between the Scottish Government, public sector agencies and NGOs. Our stakeholder board members include: • Scottish Enterprise (the national enterprise agency, which is also responsible for inter-regional and cross-border projects) • Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (representing municipalities and city councils) • Scottish Funding Council (body which funds Universities and vocational training institutions) • Scottish Chambers of Commerce • Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (umbrella body for civil society in Scotland). We have been involved in the management and implementation of EU Regional Operational Programmes in Scotland since 1994 and work with a wide range of public, private and third sector organisations involved in accessing European funding and in economic and social development. We understand how government works and are comfortable working directly with Ministries and Departments, and also at the interface of central government, national and regional public sector agencies, and NGOs.
