The truth is, traditional agencies are in business to get big. To do so, they must win larger and larger pieces of business. If you are successful in attracting a large agency, you have to understand that the attention you receive will be commensurate with the amount you bill. So it will be difficult to harness the real brainpower within the agency until you're big enough to get their attention. And chances are, you won't get big unless you can get your hands on some great marketing along the way. Bottom line: there's not much room for a small company in the business model of a traditional agency.
