Lower Merion Township is a First Class Township located in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and one of the region’s most vibrant and engaged communities. Founded in 1682 and incorporated as a Township of the First Class in 1900, Lower Merion blends a rich history with forward-thinking local government. The Township operates under a council-manager form of government and is governed by a 14-member Board of Commissioners elected by ward.
