Sports Radio 100.9 The Mitt (WLUN) is the only sports radio station in Michigan's Great Lakes Bay Region. MBF Enterprises purchased the station on March 25, 2008 from the Last Bastion Trust. Citadel Broadcasting previously owned the station, operating as a simulcast of classic rock station WILZ-FM. The Michigan Baseball Foundation, the 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that owns Dow Diamond, helped finance the purchase. The Foundation also funded the construction of the radio studio in the Dow Diamond press box, overlooking the baseball field, which was completed in January 2009. These steps, made by the Michigan Baseball Foundation, are consistent with the Foundation’s stated mission of promoting regional economic development. Formerly ESPN 100.9-FM, Sports Radio 100.9 The Mitt emerged as a Fox Sports Radio affiliate on Monday, October 2, 2023, and carries legendary national talk radio programs in The Dan Patrick Show and The Herd with Colin Cowherd. For seven hours each weekday, Sports Radio 100.9 The Mitt shifts to local sports talk. X’s & Bro’s with Detroit sports staple Anthony Bellino airs from 6-9 am and from 3-6 pm it's The HUGE Show, hosted by Michigan sports talk veteran Bill Simonson. Sports Radio 100.9 The Mitt is also home to the only live, local sports talk show in the region. The Payoff airs weekdays from 6-7 p.m. with Ben Bosscher, John Vicari, and Brad Tunney.
