We're making the first animation software for creating and sharing virtual humans in VR and on the web. We believe that the incredible potential of interactive entertainment has barely begun to take shape. Game engines have made beautiful experiences but they are heavily skewed toward creating navigation based games. Virtual and augmented reality, on the other hand, is destined to become a communication medium first. To create truly compelling virtual characters will require a new kind of interactivity engine that prioritizes communication and emotion. Our team members have led companies which licensed prior animation software to NASA, MIT, Sony Pictures, Intel, Microsoft, Boston Dynamics, and several universities. The same software has been used in hundreds of scientific studies that investigate human responses to virtual human emotions. Right now there's a well documented content vacuum in VR that is similar to the content vacuum that slowed public acceptance in the early days of television. The service we're providing will enable artists, researchers, business developers and others to rapidly create applications for this new medium.
