Spell Bound Information

Spell Bound is a family owned business that was started when, after much research, we discovered an extensive interest in role-playing games in the Central Maine area. The store was opened for gamer's to indulge in their hobbies and to bring together people with the same interests. The idea for the name was inspired by the spells in collectible card games, and Joel's experience in playing Magic: The Gathering for more than a decade. Donna retired from the Air Force in 1993 after 20 years and having been stationed in California for 14 years as an aircraft mechanic. She returned to her home state in 1994 and worked odd jobs before starting Spell Bound. Joel's prior work experience was in computer repair and technical support. Role-playing is an ever growing pastime, and is constantly evolving in various directions. In the mid-eighties, there were numerous games developed, each of which not only added an outstanding amount of new ideas but also moved away from established traditional games. Each game was revolutionary in its own right, and each formed an important step in transforming role-playing into what it is today.
