Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland is New Zealand’s largest and leading university. We specialise in mental health promotion with a focus on the provision of information and resources on topics such as depression awareness, youth mental health promotion, suicide prevention, social inclusion and the reduction of stigma and discrimination, consumer/tangata whaiora issues, older people’s mental health and workplace mental health. We seek to inform, influence and advocate in all areas of mental health and wellbeing through research projects, policy and development work.

At Outward Bound our goal is simple: to unlock the potential in New Zealanders from all walks of life. From adults to young people in education or apprentices in the workplace, we aspire to show our participants what they are truly capable of achieving. To do so, we use the mountains, bush and waterways of the Marlborough Sounds as a catalyst for building character and cultivating life-long transferable skills. Through the challenge and adventure of an Outward Bound course, we’ve helped more than 70,000 Kiwis to push their boundaries, improve their resilience and ultimately, find their future direction. As a result, they return home with increased confidence, more capable at home, at school or in the workplace. As a non-profit learning and development organisation, we rely on the generosity of our donors to ensure the Outward Bound experience remains accessible to all, regardless of financial circumstance.
