Species Australia Information

Species Australia was formed in early 2001 by a group of award winning builders, joiners and architect. Working at the cutting edge of Australian design and building, it became apparent the total absence of any Company able to source, develop, manufacture and supply high quality architectural componentry to the market place. With a combined experience of over 100 years working in this field it was decided to form Species Australia to fill this void and to further develop techniques and materials for use in the Australian building industry. Species Australia is in the constant process of sourcing the highest quality renewable Australian hardwoods through ever widening relations with mills dedicated to responsible farming and preservation of forests. Stockpiling has been underway for 8 years with all stock now in our new purpose built air drying factory based in the Kempsey. The new facilities along with the development of our dehumidifaction kilns has given Species Australia a tremendous foundation in which to continue further infrastructure development and growth. Production of architectural componentry and joinery items commenced in 2002 which has proved successful with our products being used in several award winning projects in the NSW housing and architectural industry.
