Specialized Construction Information

Specialized Construction is owned and operated by Dion Davies, a long time businessman and resident in the Davis, California area. Dion was born and raised in Boise, Idaho. The great northwest likely contributed heavily toward his love of the outdoors and his determination to focus his career in a direction that would allow the outdoors to become a primary part of his working life. The other contribution directly related to a small town outdoors lifestyle is a well founded work ethic. Honesty, integrity and superior quality have been hallmarks of Specialized Construction since its beginning in 1985. Prior to and during his college years Dion supported himself in various fields of construction. With three years of on the job experience in all phases of road construction and another three years in heating and air condition service and installation Dion started Specialized Construction with a solid "hands on" background. Mr. Davies attended Boise State University from 1981 to 1983. In 1983 Dion moved to Davis to finish his education at the University of California Davis Campus where he graduated in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Enology. Specialized Construction was selected to replicate Sunset Magazine's "Western Dream House" which was built on the golf course in North Davis and today stands as a tribute to quality workmanship and innovation. Additionally, Specialized Construction contracted and built homes in the spectacular "Street of Dreams" showcase development. In 1994 Specialized Construction served as a major participant working in all aspects of construction from electrical wiring, plumbing, heat/air, fence construction, roofing, remodeling, finish work, and design in the construction of Davis' Central Park Carousel. We should consider adding a company mission statement identifying SC's commitment to quality, design review, material standards, etc.
