Jamie completed his undergraduate dental degree at the University of Melbourne and worked as a general practitioner in a Brisbane CBD prosthodontic and general practice for several years. His areas of specialisation include crowns and bridges, implants, veneers, cosmetic dentistry, aesthetic dentistry and dentures. Dr Jamie Foong has a keen interest in implant technology and ceramics. As part of his thesis for his doctorate, he investigated the mechanical properties of zirconia and titanium implant abutments. He is also involved in teaching at several Australian dental schools (University of Queensland, University of Melbourne) as a visiting lecturer and clinical supervisor. He is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Prosthodontic Society, the Academy of Australian and New Zealand of Prosthodontists, and the Australasian Osseointegration Society. A Key Opinion Leader (KOL) for Ivoclar Vivadent, Kuraray, 3 Shape and Straumann, Dr Jamie Foong gives presentations regularly in Australia to dentists, on topics such as Onlays and Inlays, providing the modern clinician the theory and basic practical skills to implement treatment plans into their practice.
