Specialised Canvas is a well-established supplier of quality, bespoke canvas solutions. We provide an adaptable range of products and services across a wide range of canvas products. The company was established in the seventies in Chesterfield, Derbyshire supplying principally tarpaulins for the then thriving coal industry. As we grew and as demand changed, we needed to diversify and develop a far wider range of products, which proved to be a wise decision, as with the closure of coal pits and the demise of the coal industry in the eighties, our main market had all but disappeared. Thankfully, with the development of new products such as awnings, sunshades and camping goods, we survived. In the nineties, the company was acquired by current Managing Director, Jonathan Bramah, who, having acquired the business, made essential changes and introduced a new energy and dynamism. In 2002, the company moved to a 12,000-square foot manufacturing facility, increasing our facility and allowing us to take on far bigger projects, expanding our workforce along the way. Looking ahead, we are always exploring new products and services and are open to suggestions. We continue to invest where required to maintain a competitive advantage and meet customer demand efficiently and effectively.
