FE College Programme for Health and Social Care Essex County Council is currently working in partnership with both Colchester Institute and Chelmsford College to support recruitment into the existing Health and Social Care pathways. The aim of the programme is to drive greater enthusiasm whilst improving student retention. This is underpinned by providing quality impartial Careers Guidance and showcasing some of the career paths available. Aims of the Health and Social Care Programme: • To Increase numbers of students progressing into the industry • To provide quality impartial careers guidance to enable students to access sector opportunities alongside their current qualification • Promotion of employer vacancies and volunteering opportunities via the student bulletin board and LinkedIn is this an aim of the programme? Sounds like something the programme just does… • To Increase academic progression do you want to write that when you are asking for employers to engage? • To increase and diversify work placement opportunities to benefit student exposure to the industry • To encourage industry professionals to share their career journey within the college to raise aspirations Can you as an organisation support the programme?
