SPECCX Information

SPECCX is an online marketplace that enables direct transactions in fruits, vegetables, eggs, hay, etc., between farmers and buyers such as grocers, wholesale food distributors and restaurants. SPECCX offers both a spot market for immediate delivery and a forward market for future delivery. The seller creates a profile that tells SPECCX what its inventory and pricing preferences are. The buyer creates a profile that tells SPECCX what its purchasing needs are as well as delivery and pricing preferences. SPECCX matches the sellers with buyers. Neither side needs to find the other. Based on inputs from both the farmer and buyers, SPECCX algorithms match the farmer with like-minded buyers and enter them into pending contracts that each side can accept, reject or counter.
