Mission K9 Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the rescue, reunion, rehabilitation, repair, and re-homing of retired working dogs. Winner of the Petco Foundation’s “Helping Heroes” Award and the ASPCA Henry Bergh Award in 2017, Mission K9 Rescue serves retired Military Working Dogs, Contract Working Dogs, and other working dogs that fall within our mission and scope. Mission K9 Rescue is headquartered in Magnolia, Texas. At our Veteran K9 Ranch facility in Magnolia, we board, evaluate, rehabilitate, and provide veterinary care for newly retired working dogs. Whenever possible, we reunite these dogs with the handlers they served alongside. When reunion is not possible, we work to find them loving, appropriate retirement homes. Since 2013, Mission K9 Rescue has: • Saved more than 1,400 working dogs • Reunited more than 800 dogs with their former handlers • Provided more than $3 million in veterinary care Our work includes rescue, transportation, veterinary care, rehabilitation, adoption assistance, and professional support for retired hero dogs in the United States and around the world. We believe working dogs deserve a safe and comfortable retirement, appropriate veterinary care, and a loving home after their years of service. Mission K9 Rescue is professionally managed by Kristen Maurer and Bob Bryant, with the invaluable support of our volunteers, donors, sponsors, and partners. Their commitment makes our work possible.
