Southland Church Information

Southland Church is a growing church committed to spiritual growth through passionate Bible-based teaching, meaningful worship, and an emphasis on prayer. The heartbeat of our church is expressed through our Core Values which include things like prayer and listening to God, making Jesus functional Lord, and ministering to family and others. Community life is important to us here at Southland and cells (small groups that meet weekly in homes or at the church) are an integral part of our church body. We believe that the accountability and support shared within small groups is vital to walking out the Christian faith and we encourage all people to get plugged into a cell. Southland has a heart for our local community as well as for our region, nation and beyond. Through Four Winds ministry, we strive to impact Steinbach and surrounding areas by providing a variety of courses, outreach and ministries. Through Church Renewal, Pastor Ray and Fran Duerksen are working with pastors across Canada to bring renewal to the Canadian church. And through Tupendane Africana, Southland has partnered with Alex Mitala of Uganda, and Back to the Bible Truth to assist, empower, and encourage Christian African organizations. At Southland, we are passionate about making Jesus Christ the functional Lord of our church, seeking His leadership in all of these areas.
