Southern Spinal Injuries Trust Information

The Southern Spinal Injuries Trust (SSIT) provides grants to people with spinal cord injury, enabling greater independence and quailty of life. The majority of our grants are to provide wheelchairs and exercise equipment but this grant illustrates the breadth of our funding programme. Geoff Squibb is a photographer based in Cornwall who does voluntary photography work for his local branch of the RNLI and Disability Cornwall. He was paralysed following a motorbike accident in 1990 and was cared for in The Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre in Salisbury. Having a good computer is essential for Geoff's post production work and he applied for a grant from SSIT. His new iMac allows him to work more swiftly and to the highest standard.
