Established in 1967. Welcome to SoCal ROC--We are the leaders in providing current and relevant Career Technical Education programs that are meeting today's job demands and careers of the future! Part of the California public school system, our programs are offered to high schools students as well as adults in the South Bay and surrounding communities. We understand the importance of not only providing our students with theory-based instruction but the opportunity to apply that knowledge through "hands-on" learning activities. Many of the programs offered at SoCal ROC also offer on-the-job training or extern components as well. There is a difference between just having a job versus doing something for which you have a passion and can earn a good living. SoCal ROC's programs and career pathways will provide you with the quality educational experiences that will tap into your passion and open doors to exciting career opportunities. Here are some of our available classes: 3D Design, Adobe Suite, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Medical Assisting Modules (EKG, Complete Physical Exam, Venipuncture, & Injections), Certified Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aide (CNA/HHA), Cosmetology, Dental Assisting, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Fashion Design, Health Unit Coordinator/EKG Monitoring Technician, Hotel/Restaurant Occupations, HVAC, Medical Front Office, Pet Health & Grooming, Pharmacy Technician, Registered Dental Assisting (RDA), Residential Electrical Wiring, Veterinary Assistant, & Welding. The Southern California Regional Occupational Center opened in 1967. The school operates as a JPA that includes El Segundo Unified School District, Inglewood Unified School District, Manhattan Beach Unified School District, Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, Redondo Beach Unified School District, and Torrance Unified School District. It was the first Regional Occupational Center in the state of California. We serve both high school and adult students.
