South Point Engineering Information

South Point Engineering is a Bellville based, family-run enterprise which was established by Garth Clarkson in 1999. We specialize in the manufacture of custom-made metalwork components as well as a CNC Plasma Cut product range suited to the domestic, commercial as well as industrial industries. We provide a service from concept/design through to finished packaged product, working hand-in-hand with the client to arrive at the same envisaged result. Although still in the early development stages, South Point Engineering has recently created their own specifically designed furniture range. With a factory workforce of 14 and a factory workspace of 1300m² we are able to accomplish anything from one-off prototypes to full production runs. We are, however, geared for mainly high-volume production runs. We have all equipment/tools required in the metalwork industry including inter alia abrasive cutters, band saws, cold saws, MIG and TIG welding facilities, etc. We make use of powder coating, electro-galvanizing and hot dip galvanizing suppliers as per the job requirements. Our drawing department is CAD based which is compatible with the CNC Plasma Cutting software; all designs and drawings are done in-house by an experienced drawing team in collaboration with the Client is necessary. We have a wealth of knowledge in the metalwork manufacturing process which could be a huge advantage with decision making on design, material, etc.
