Wilmar Sugar Australia is the nation’s largest sugar producer and a major provider of renewable electricity and bioethanol. Our joint ventures, Sugar Australia and New Zealand Sugar, market a range of sugar and sweetener products under the familiar brands CSR, Chelsea and Equal. We own and operate eight sugar mills in North Queensland, which together manufacture more than half of Australia’s raw sugar. We also manage one of Australia’s most advanced sugarcane farming operations, and a fleet of 80 locomotives that haul 18,000 cane bins over 1,600km of track to transport sugarcane to our mills. Our BioEthanol business is Australia’s largest manufacturer and distributor of sugarcane-based ethanol products. Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT P/L) is located 38 kilometres south of the North Queensland city of Mackay. Situated on Dalrymple Bay at the Port of Hay Point, the Terminal’s operations stretch over a distance of six kilometres. Since commencing operations in 1983, DBCT P/L has established itself as a leading coal export facility. The terminal is an integral part of Australia's coal supply chain, ensuring reliability and continuity of coal supply from the Bowen Basin coal fields to the world export market. As part of the world’s largest coal export port, DBCT P/L exports thermal and metallurgical coal and operates around the clock with a name plate capacity of 85 Mtpa.

Sugar Research Australia (SRA) invests in and manages a portfolio of research, development and extension (RD&E) projects that drive productivity, profitability and sustainability for the Australian sugarcane industry. SRA focuses on national RD&E priorities and delivering good science at a local level. We tackle these issues to find research solutions and new and better ways of doing things on-farm and at the mill. We do this by fostering an environment that encourages new initiatives and rewards innovation.
