South Coast Tourism Industry Association Information

The South Coast Tourism Industry Association (SCTIA) has been developed to support the tourism industry from Shoalhaven down to Eden and to put it on a path of greater tourism investment and more financially sustainable tourism patterns. SCTIA has also been created to ensure adequate government and industry support for bushfire recovery and the ongoing impacts of the Covid-19 crisis which has brought the South Coast to a standstill. For decades the South Coast has been the forgotten poor cousin of the tourism industry even before the recent disasters. Tourism resources are poured into cities like Sydney and we need to battle to get a fairer share and more support. None of the existing tourism programmes have yet managed to create a resilient and more economically sustainable industry on the South Coast.
