The College of American Pathologists (CAP) is the premier organization of board-certified pathologists dedicated to fostering and advocating excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine worldwide. The CAP is a 501(c)(6) membership organization recognized as the gold standard in laboratory accreditation, with nearly 8,000 laboratories worldwide accredited by the CAP. The majority of the CAP's roughly 600 employees are based at the organization's headquarters in suburban Chicago (Northfield, Illinois), with around 30 staff members working at the Washington, DC, satellite office.

Established in 1983, the National Center for Policy Analysis is a think tank that develops and promotes free-market alternatives to government regulation and control, solving problems by relying on the strength of the competitive, entrepreneurial private sector. We bring together the best and brightest minds to tackle the country's most difficult public policy problems in health care, taxes, retirement, education, energy and national security. In doing so, we propose reforms that liberate consumers, workers, entrepreneurs and the power of the marketplace.
