Transforming how small to medium sized enterprises find, compare, and work with technology providers using Source’s SmartIntel, SmartBid and SmartBench My passion for developing strategies to identify organizational and industry problems has led me to launch The Source. I first identified this industry problem while observing my Directors trying to locate and source new technology providers. They were required to send individual emails to multiple providers containing the same request. To which, they received responses that were missing information or contained more than what was asked for. This problem needs to be solved. The idea further matured in mind as I was buying new technology. This process required me to attend conferences, dinners, manage an extensive search, and answer NUMEROUS sales calls all to ensure I selected the right technology. This took a massive amount of time for the team and other senior leaders in the organizations. Companies are seeking new technology and providers to support the post-pandemic operating model. They are challenged to identify providers that can acquire hard-to-find skills and products that fall into specific use cases. Historically, decision-makers have limited access to a service provider’s past results except for provider-sourced references. The limited options include leveraging your own network, traveling to industry events or conferences to walk the miles of providers. These methods are expensive, frustrating, and time-consuming in the current supply chain. Service providers have a limited network and visibility to a global customer market. They spend millions on procuring booth space at conferences across the globe with thousands more providers for a chance at a qualified lead.
