This Is Who We Are And What We Do. We are a design collective composed of trained artisans at our core. While at work perfecting our craft, we discovered an opportunity to provide retail clients with full-service wholesale solutions to their home decor product sourcing needs. We conceive, develop and manage the entire process for our partners, starting with pen to paper, continuing with design selection and factory assignment, and ending with thorough inspection, quality testing and final delivery of a thoughtfully-designed furniture, tabletop, accessory or lighting piece. For over 13 years, we have partnered with major retailers such as Crate and Barrel, CB2, Land of Nod and The Container Storerelationships that have only improved with time and an in-depth understanding of what it takes to bring a truly successful retail product to market. We believe in creating products that are: Joe started as a self-taught potter in 1975, participating in juried art fairs and selling wares to local florists and gift shops. Since then he has received 3 U.S. Patents for design and utility. He has extensive knowledge in manufacturing of ceramics, and opened a terracotta factory in China. Joe developed his own process for casting concrete, which led to orders from Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, Pottery Barn, The Nature Company and Bed Bath and Beyond. In 1998, he founded Source & Design and began importing from Mexico, China and India, and working directly with specialty retailers selling Source and Designs exclusive designs. Joaquin has been involved in the furniture industry since he was 10 years old. His father was the South American representative for Herman Miller. He has always had a passion for design and home. He has extensive retail experience and understands the needs of merchants. He has imported and distributed modern furniture and design since 1983, and worked successfully with major retailers and buyers to develop proprietary designs and product.
