Founded in 1973, Sortimo International GmbH is the European leader in providing in-vehicle equipment for trade professionals and service industries. The company has branches and subsidiaries throughout Germany and in Europe, including France, Italy, Austria, UK, Spain, and Scandinavia. Sortimo’s equipment is most unique in the industry. It is made of light aluminum alloy and other 100% recyclable products. It is 50-65% lighter than steel components commonly available in the U.S. A modular design allows end-user unlimited flexibility with interchangeable parts and easy reconfiguration. Sortimo’s equipment is installed without drilling into the vehicle making it easy to remove and re-use beyond the life of a single vehicle. The equipment can be made to accommodate any make or model. Most importantly, Sortimo is the only company whose equipment has been crash- tested by independent agencies in Germany and UK, with full load. Sortimo is Tier-1 supplier to Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, and Ford and partners with many other major auto-manufacturers such as Renault, Nissan, Iveco, etc. In 2004, Sortimo International was chosen as on of the “50 Most Dynamic Companies” in Bavaria. Sortimo North America is the North American headquarter of Sortimo International. It serves as the warehouse and distribution center for North America. The Norcross facility also pre-assembles and ships equipment to the customers in throughout North America and is also capable of upfitting vehicles for the local market. It serves as the marketing and sales office and participates in various trade and automotive shows. Sortimo North America is in the process of setting up a network of distributors and upfitters in the U.S. and Canada and is actively seeking more members in the network. The current network includes members in the Southeast, Southwest, Northeast and Midwest regions.
